The excitement and anticipation you may be feeling leading up to recruitment is also felt by everyone here at Texas Gamma! It brings me so much joy knowing that we will be a part of your journey in this new chapter of your life coming to Texas Tech and deciding to go greek. I’m excited to be in the process of getting everything ready for you and making it as special as possible! My biggest piece of advice is to cherish everyday, leading up to/ during the recruitment process. We are excited to meet every single one of you! See you so soon!

If you are the daughter, sister, or granddaughter of a member of Pi Beta Phi, you are considered a Legacy.


Tips for Recruitment
Recruitment can be a nerve wrecking and intimidating process for a lot of women, but I promise it’s not as scary as you think. Each chapter member has once been in your shoes, anxiously awaiting bid day at the end of that long week. We know you’ve probably heard it a million times before, but BE YOURSELF. You don’t have to pretend to be someone you aren’t. The purpose of recruitment is to find your home away from home. To find your best friends, your bridesmaids, your sisters. When you are your true self, you allow those around you to see your heart and your values, and recruitment is where you find where those values align. Trust the process, talk with your Rho Gammas, and even open up to the women that are recruiting you. Like I said, we have all been in your shoes. Try to have fun, make memories, and connect with the other PNM’s around you. Maybe you’ll meet your first college friend! Recruitment is such an exciting time, and just remind yourself that after that crazy week of talking to so many women, you will have found the home of a lifetime! Your wings are waiting, we can’t wait to meet you.
